In addition to the agonal, a theatrical dispositif also pervades jurisprudence, which turns out to be central to the judgment dimension of the proceedings. In research preceding this work, four lawyers reported on ritual processes in court and how they not only structure the proceedings, but also legitimize the act of adjudication in the first place. These are not specifically taught as performative knowledge in law school, but are mimetically passed on between lawyers over generations by observing and applying them in the courtroom.
In a scenic study with three actors, the work "IM PROZESS" explores the handling of the legal role in court and the question of the staging of law. Acting methods according to Stanislawski, Brecht and naturalism are used to make visible and examine theatrical processes within court proceedings.
ACTING
Maria Helgath, Leonard Burkhardt, Benedikt Kosian
